So you have finally removed those dead trees in your yard before they became a problem for the rest of your property. Or maybe a storm came through and knocked over some trees, hopefully without causing any other damage, but now you have a stump problem. Left over stumps from cut or fallen trees can leave major eyesores around your property. You may have many other beautiful trees in your yard, but the stumps are the only thing catching the eyes of those passing by. They also can be dangerous when kids are playing in the yard or a nuisance when trying to mow around them while doing yard work. If you are ready to get rid of these ugly stumps, call Waco Tree Service and say hello to a more beautiful yard. Stump removal is no easy task. It requires proper training and equipment to be completed correctly, all of which we have.

Our experienced crew will assess your tree stumps and bring the proper equipment to remove them. We have a mechanical stump grinder that will grind down the stump and the major roots below ground level to eliminate any chance of further regrowth after the removal. Once removed we can add soil where the stump was to flatten out the ground so that you can add grass or simply have more space for other things. So, if you have a stump problem, call us today, 254-252-3391, and let us take care of all your stump removal service needs.

What are the Different Methods of Stump Removal Used?

There are several methods for removing stumps, and the best method will depend on the size of the stump, the location, and the desired outcome. The most common method of stump removal we use here is grinding, using a heavy machine to grind the stump into small pieces that are picked up after it is removed. Using a stump grinding machine is the fastest method but will tend to tear up your yard and grass where the equipment moves. Another method is to use a chemical stump remover, which involves applying chemicals to the stump to speed up the decomposition process. This could take several months to a year to fully break down the stump.. This method is more for homeowners who want to remove the stump themselves. We do not offer this type of service for stump removal. For small stumps, hand digging with a shovel and pickaxe may be an option. Although this is more time-consuming and labor-intensive, but can be the least expensive option or can be done by the homeowner themselves.

Will stump removal damage my yard or landscaping?

Stump removal may cause some degree of damage to your yard or landscaping, depending on the size of the stump and the equipment that is used. Heavy machinery can damage your existing grass, and the grinding or digging process can disrupt surrounding plants or root systems. However, our stump removal technicians are highly experienced and will take steps to minimize any potential damage, such as carefully selecting the equipment, working around delicate plants, and cleaning up debris after the removal. Although stump removal will cause some damage to your grass or landscape surrounding the stump, most believe it is worth it to get rid of that ugly stump in your yard that can be an eye sore.

How Long Does it Take to Remove a Stump?

The length of time it takes to remove a stump of course depends on the size of the stump and the type of equipment being used. Typically Waco Tree Service uses a stump grinding machine to remove the stump, which can quickly grind it down to dust in an hour or two. In some cases, the roots of the stump may be particularly extensive, which can add time to the removal process. If the stump is small, the stump could be dug out instead of using a stump grinder, which will take longer but will save damaging your grass and other landscape from using the machine. Overall the stump removal process can take anywhere from around an hour to 4 hours, including cleanup afterwards.
